Job Description
The Solar Engineering Intern will evaluate the impact of solar module degradation on plant performance as part of the Clearway Operations Engineering team during a 10-week summer internship program. This role is designed for first-year graduate students in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on renewable energy technologies.
Responsibilities
- •Evaluate the solar plant performance impact of PV module degradation
- •Complete an individual project related to solar module degradation
- •Present the final project to leadership at the end of the internship
Requirements
- •First year student in a graduate program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on renewable energy technologies.
- •Experience in PV technologies and theory of operation.
- •Proficiency in data analysis and critical thinking.
- •Strong user of MS Excel and other analytical tools.
- •Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable energy.
- •Strong interpersonal skills.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership over projects and assignments.
- •Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position H-1B, TN, E-3, J-1 etc. or provide any assistance in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including OPT or CPT.
