Job Description
The Capital Markets Intern will support Clearway's Capital Markets Team in project finance, valuation, and data systems for renewable energy projects, gaining hands-on experience in financial modeling and analysis over a 10-week summer internship.
Responsibilities
- •Refine Excel-based project finance model templates for project origination, development, construction, financing, and asset management.
- •Develop and improve data automation connecting project finance models and financial data systems.
- •Help architect and implement analytical and data infrastructure for structured project finance analysis.
- •Implement financing terms in project finance model templates.
- •Communicate underwriting standards to internal stakeholders and implement those standards.
- •Support financing processes to secure sources of capital aligned with company goals.
- •Assist in preparing presentations and reports on transaction status, risks, and benefits.
- •Present results of assigned project to project leadership at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- •Current juniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, STEM, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- •Advanced Excel skills and understanding of key financial concepts such as financial statements, accrual vs. cash accounting, discounted cash flow analysis, time value of money, internal rate of return, and net present value.
- •Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- •Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable energy.
- •Strong interpersonal skills, including the willingness to ask questions, listen to colleagues, and contribute ideas.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable, demonstrating eagerness to engage in work and take initiative.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
