Job Description
The Asset Energy Management Intern will assist the Clearway Asset and Energy Management Team in managing utility-scale wind and solar power projects, focusing on quantitative modeling, project evaluations, and financial analyses to support asset optimization and investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- •Support the asset valuation tool base and create optimization tools for renewable assets.
- •Assist in project evaluations, agreements, contract reviews, and due diligence for investments.
- •Conduct P&L analysis and economic performance assessments for generating assets.
- •Perform financial analyses and project evaluations to support plant optimization and revenue enhancement.
- •Analyze, track, and update budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- •Extract generation data from internal and external sources for reporting needs.
- •Present results of assigned projects to project leadership at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- •Master's students pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, or other related quantitative field.
- •Advanced Python skills.
- •Intermediate SQL skills.
- •Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- •Ability to learn and adapt to new data applications like Hex or Streamlit, and data orchestrator tools like Dagster.
- •Understanding of optimization models such as linear optimization.
- •Experience or interest in the power and renewables industry.
- •Strong interpersonal skills.
- •Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
- •Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
