Job Description
The role involves providing technical and operational support for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites within the Asset Management team at Akaysha Energy, focusing on both pre-operations and operational phases to enhance asset reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- •Establish ISO 55000 aligned Asset Class Strategies for BESS assets.
- •Drive the development and application of condition assessment and asset health processes.
- •Bridge technical aspects of BESS design and construction into operations.
- •Conduct technical analysis of asset performance and maintenance needs.
- •Support technical troubleshooting of real-time operational issues for BESS assets.
- •Support technical aspects of scheduled maintenance execution.
- •Develop, monitor, and report technical asset performance metrics.
- •Champion management of change processes for operational assets.
- •Embed risk-based work processes for operations and maintenance planning.
- •Act as the key interface between Engineering and Asset Management teams.
Requirements
- •Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering essential
- •Minimum 5 years of asset or operational engineering experience in high-risk asset operations such as power generation assets, power transmission and distribution, including evidence of hands-on field experience
- •Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- •High level of attention to detail and ability to work both autonomously and supporting a wider organisation in a collaborative fashion
- •Strong skills in reporting and documentation
- •Ability to work with a small, fast-paced team and make critical decisions quickly
- •Willingness to learn, adapt and develop in a fast-paced sector
- •Must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status or have existing AU working rights to apply for this role
