Job Description
The Sr. GIS Analyst at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leveraging Geographic Information Systems to support project teams by managing and analyzing geospatial data, creating maps, and developing web-based mapping applications, primarily for Environmental Services and Land Services projects.
Responsibilities
- •Develop, update, analyze, and manage GIS data for projects.
- •Create maps and figures using cartographic principles.
- •Acquire, compile, and manage geospatial data from various sources.
- •Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of geospatial data.
- •Maintain and develop databases for high-quality deliverables.
- •Provide training and support for mobile data collection.
- •Automate workflows using programming languages.
- •Serve as the GIS lead on projects and ensure quality control of GIS deliverables.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field experience.
- •A minimum of 3 years of professional applied experience providing GIS services.
- •Well established understanding of GIS theory and principles.
- •Strong foundation in data acquisition, data management, data analysis, data models and data editing.
- •Experience in both environmental and land.
- •Use programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or SQL for automation and customization.
