Job Description
The Sales and Business Development role at SES AI involves leading efforts to provide scientific software solutions in the Materials Sciences market, building strategic relationships with commercial battery entities and academia, and driving growth through complex sales opportunities and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and nurture a pipeline of new business prospects
- •Identify and cultivate potential clients in the materials science market
- •Negotiate and close complex sales opportunities
- •Collaborate with scientific and AI teams
- •Plan and conduct customer presentations and demonstrations
- •Monitor and analyze market dynamics
- •Build and execute strategic marketing and sales plans
- •Relay client feedback to internal teams
- •Manage and grow key accounts
- •Travel to engage with clients and prospects
Requirements
- •A highly successful salesperson who is familiar with computational chemistry software, research informatics, and/or materials science chemistry.
- •Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
- •At least two years of business experience in the scientific software space.
- •A customer-focused problem-solver skilled in negotiation, procurement, contract terms, and delivering tailored solutions.
- •A driven self-starter, communicator, and dynamic presenter.
