Job Description
The Equipment Maintenance Engineer at Swift Solar is responsible for maintaining and optimizing solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment, ensuring smooth operations through preventative maintenance processes and cross-functional collaboration with various engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- •Maintain and optimize solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment
- •Oversee maintenance management software platform and create repair history logs
- •Troubleshoot vacuum equipment and coordinate with external suppliers for support
- •Train team members on tool maintenance and common repairs
- •Develop and execute preventative equipment maintenance processes
- •Maintain gloveboxes and implement EHS equipment protocols
- •Plan contractor visits for facility upgrades
Requirements
- •10 years of tool maintenance experience in industries such as vacuum coating (PVD), semiconductor manufacturing, or related field.
- •Hands-on experience performing vacuum leak detection, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and repairing high- and low-voltage electrical subsystems.
- •Fundamental understanding of vacuum chamber pumping including mechanical, turbo, and cryogenic pumps and familiarity with vacuum gauges and valves.
- •Knowledge about typical semiconductor lab facilitation.
