Job Description
The Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician at Swift Solar is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and equipment uptime. This hands-on role involves collaboration with engineers and the development of preventative maintenance processes to support the company's mission of advancing solar technology.
Responsibilities
- •Maintain solar cell R&D and manufacturing equipment
- •Perform upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting on machinery
- •Collaborate with engineers to ensure equipment uptime
- •Review requests and work orders in maintenance management software
- •Troubleshoot vacuum equipment and coordinate with external suppliers
- •Develop and execute preventative maintenance processes
- •Maintain lab equipment including gloveboxes and gas tank levels
- •Supervise contractor visits for facility upgrades
Requirements
- •Have 5 years of tool maintenance experience in industries such as vacuum coating PVD, semiconductor manufacturing, or related field.
- •Possess hands-on experience performing vacuum leak detection, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and repairing high- and low-voltage electrical subsystems.
- •Have a fundamental understanding of vacuum chamber pumping including mechanical, turbo, and cryogenic pumps and familiarity with vacuum gauges and valves.
