Job Description
The Product Cost Manager at Rondo Energy will oversee cost estimation for the company's product line, optimize product costs, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance cost projections and reduce uncertainties. This role involves managing inputs from multiple departments, developing cost reduction strategies, and ensuring effective communication of cost estimates across the organization.
Responsibilities
- •Oversee cost estimation for Rondo's global product line
- •Build and refine systems for documenting product cost estimates
- •Manage cost-estimate inputs from various stakeholders
- •Make recommendations to reduce product cost uncertainty
- •Collaborate on cost reduction potential of product ideas
- •Identify areas for cost reduction and lead estimation processes
- •Develop perspectives on cost implications of initiatives
- •Prepare scopes of work for sub-contractors to validate cost estimates
- •Manage sub-contractors and communicate findings internally
- •Conduct site visits to project sites, suppliers, or customers
- •Distribute and communicate cost estimates across the organization
- •Assist in building project proposals and identifying risks
Requirements
- •Ability to understand industrial scale civil, mechanical and electrical systems and estimate costs associated with their design, procurement and construction.
- •Knowledge of common industrial equipment projects, including but not limited to electrical systems, controls, wires, blowers, pumps, pipes, insulation, industrial buildings, HRSGs.
- •Knowledge of cost estimating systems or software.
- •Good understanding of typical work breakdown structures and industry rules of thumb benchmarks.
- •Strong ability to work in cross functional teams and manage stakeholders across multiple functions.
- •Comfort with uncertainty and ability to come up with high-level estimates and support them through research, expert validation and iterative problem solving.
- •Ability to draw meaningful conclusions from multiple sources of inputs.
