Job Description
The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Expert at Rondo Energy will develop and optimize large-scale CFD models to enhance thermal and heat transfer modeling for industrial heat applications, contributing to the company's mission of reducing global CO2 emissions through innovative heat battery technology.
Responsibilities
- •Develop large-scale CFD models for thermal and fluid flow systems
- •Ensure model integrity and accuracy with poor-quality CAD models
- •Apply conjugate heat transfer modeling for fluid and solid interactions
- •Analyze simulation results and provide optimization insights
- •Generate documentation and communicate findings to stakeholders
- •Define tests and test plans for validation datasets
- •Use data to validate CFD models
Requirements
- •Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, or a related field
- •5 years of experience in CFD modeling, with a proven ability to create and validate large-scale models
- •Strong expertise in conjugated high heat transfer and multi-physics simulations
- •Proficiency in handling complex geometries and poor-quality CAD models to build effective simulation setups
- •Experience with a range of CFD software and tools for pre-processing, meshing, and post-processing
- •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail in modeling and data interpretation
- •This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ 3-4 days per week
