Job Description
The Design Engineering Manager at Rondo Energy will lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and engineering of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards while fostering collaboration across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and manage a multidisciplinary design team of architects, engineers, and drafters.
- •Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to achieve project objectives.
- •Develop design strategies that integrate into the broader EPC project framework.
- •Collaborate with engineering and procurement departments to align design concepts with project specifications.
- •Oversee the design phase of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- •Maintain high standards of design quality by reviewing and approving design concepts, drawings, and specifications.
- •Integrate innovative technologies and sustainable practices into the design process.
- •Allocate design resources effectively and optimize resource utilization.
- •Identify opportunities for skill development and training within the design team.
- •Identify and mitigate design-related risks, providing proactive solutions.
- •Coordinate project schedule requirements with Procurement and Construction partners.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- •10 years of progressive experience in multi-disciplinary design management within an EPC firm or related industry.
- •Proficiency in relevant design software and tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SolidWorks, etc.
- •Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, construction methodologies, and project management practices.
- •Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- •Proven track record of managing complex design engineering projects from conception to completion.
