Job Description
The IT Asset Management Specialist II is responsible for managing the life cycle of IT assets, including tracking, receiving, and retiring software and hardware systems. This role involves maintaining inventory records, managing contracts, and providing support for asset management processes within the organization.
Responsibilities
- •Track, receive, recover, deploy, and retire IT assets throughout their life cycle
- •Process incoming equipment, validate shipments, and update the asset inventory database
- •Track software and hardware assets not connected to the network and reclaim unused assets
- •Perform annual inventory projects and maintain asset records
- •Manage life cycle management of software licenses and hardware equipment
- •Track and document renewal contracts
- •Collaborate with purchasing departments
- •Provide licensing support to end-users for various applications
- •Manage hardware and software contracts from initiation through termination
- •Provide support for internal and external audits
- •Manage requests for software and hardware assets in ServiceNow
- •Maintain records of all contracts and recurring costs and verify against actuals
- •Request quotes from vendors
- •Submit, track, and receive software and hardware assets
Requirements
- •High School diploma or GED with 2 years of experience.
- •Experience with IT asset management or purchasing.
- •Experience with complex on-premises and cloud-based software licensing models.
- •Experience with software asset management and hardware asset management platforms required.
- •Experience with ITIL-based IT service management and IT asset management concepts, processes, and procedures.
- •Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- •Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- •This position requires that the applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
