Job Description
The Information Assurance Analyst is responsible for maintaining the operational security posture of information systems, collaborating with security managers and system administrators to manage security operations, conduct compliance reviews, and ensure proper documentation and incident handling.
Responsibilities
- •Prepare, review, and update authorization packages
- •Ensure approved procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media
- •Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determination
- •Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with security authorization package
- •Coordinate changes to hardware, software, or firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO
- •Monitor system recovery processes for security features and procedures
- •Ensure security-related documentation is current and accessible
- •Collect, review, and document audit records, including anomalies
- •Attend required technical and security training
- •Execute cyber security self-inspection and review system assessment plans
- •Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures
- •Prepare reports on security safeguards for computer systems
- •Conduct continuous monitoring activities for authorization boundaries
- •Provide file transfer support and maintain accountability of classified media
- •Participate in special projects as required
- •Comply with regulatory compliance and policy enforcement
- •Manage, issue, and track RSA tokens
Requirements
- •Minimum of 3 years experience in a related role such as ISSO, Data Transfer Agent, Systems Administrator, or Network Administrator.
- •Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies, including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ICD 503, DAAPM, JSIG, and CNSSI 1253.
- •High School diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in an Information Assurance role OR an Associates degree in information technology, information security, or a related field with 1 year of experience in a related role.
- •Must meet certification requirements outlined in DoD 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I within 6 months of the date of hire.
- •An active TS SCI clearance with a CI polygraph is required.
- •Willingness to obtain and maintain a full scope polygraph.
- •This position is 100% on-site.
- •Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with demanding deadlines.
- •Must be able to multitask in a dynamic environment, develop solutions to various complex problems, and plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks.
- •Attend required technical and security training related to assigned duties.
- •Responsible for managing, issuing, and tracking RSA tokens and assisting users in their use.

- •Work schedule: 100% on-site, may require evenings and weekends
