Responsibilities

• Perform initial inspection of loads
• Collect, review, and process the appropriate paperwork
• Ensure the safety of all customers/visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations
• Receive logs, chips or other material into the plant
• Inspect loads to ensure quality criteria is met
• Weigh incoming trucks, issue a ticket for receipt into the plant and re-weigh truck upon exit of the plant to ensure accurate billing
• Ensure safety of scale area and that loads are not brought in that do not meet safety criteria
• Keep scale and ramps clean and free of debris
• Communicate in a professional, courteous manner with our suppliers
• Assist drivers with the scaling system and safety protocol to ensure accurate information and driver safety
• Other jobs as directed
