About the Role

Performs advanced engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has excellent knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Functions with recognized industry-level of expertise in a technical area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects.
  • Develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability.
  • Ensure proper configuration management and compliance with standard design criteria, practices and codes.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Manage engineering issues and recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques.
  • Support plant design modifications, testing and problem solving.
  • Ensure all engineering products are in accordance with safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate functional supervisory activities including personnel, budgetary accountabilities and planning goals.
