Job Description

The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing global accounting, audit, and tax compliance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and collaborating with executives and external partners to implement strategic financial and tax initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with executives and external consultants to develop and implement tax and accounting strategies across multinational operations
  • Lead day-to-day compliance operations, including managing all audit, tax, and accounting activities
  • Coordinate and manage multiple financial audits for investors and lenders, ensuring regulatory and investor compliance
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, lenders, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient audit processes
  • Review and analyze audit findings, implementing corrective actions to improve financial controls
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to meet investor and lender expectations
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
  • Review financial statement footnotes in accordance with US GAAP and ensure alignment with local statutory financial statements
  • Oversee compliance with local statutory bookkeeping and reporting requirements across global entities
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to adhere to tax structuring recommendations and oversee global tax obligations
  • Support the monthly financial close process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and internal controls
  • Review and analyze financial data across entities to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial statement reporting
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification.
  • 12 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Experience with preparing financial statements, including SEC reporting or similar experience.
  • Previous experience managing general ledger accounting and monthly close processes.
  • Experience coordinating and leading multiple financial audits for investors and lenders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
  • Ability to review and analyze audit findings and implement corrective actions to strengthen financial controls.
  • Supervision of the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities.
  • Review of financial statement footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Ensuring alignment between US GAAP financial statements and local statutory financial statements, including STAT to GAAP reconciliation.
  • Ensuring compliance with local statutory bookkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Coordination with tax advisors to adhere to tax structuring analysis recommendations.
  • Overseeing tax obligations across global entities, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the monthly financial close process for multiple global entities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and internal controls.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial data across entities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensuring the financial close process is executed completely, timely, and accurately.
  • Establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate financial statement reporting.
  • Strengthening internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards across multiple entities.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
  • Highly analytical and organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
