Job Description
The Production Manager will oversee and optimize daily manufacturing operations at a solar panel recycling facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards while leading a team and implementing process improvements to support the company's mission in advancing sustainable solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize daily manufacturing operations
- Manage production schedules to meet targets and customer demands
- Supervise and coordinate activities of production staff
- Monitor workflow, processes, and resources for operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe environment
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements
- Maintain quality standards through regular quality checks
- Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure machinery functionality
- Manage inventory of raw materials and coordinate supply chain needs
- Prepare and submit reports on production performance and KPIs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or factory environment, including computer software expertise and skills such as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven ability to work effectively with team members within your team, peers, and team members of peers in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other efficient methods is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Spanish both spoken and written.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage production schedules to meet company targets and customer demands.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to monitor workflow, processes, and resources to achieve operational excellence and efficiency.
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Ability to maintain quality standards by ensuring products meet specifications and conducting regular quality checks.
- Ability to collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
- Ability to manage inventory of raw materials and coordinate supply chain needs with purchasing teams.
- Ability to prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
