Job Description
The role involves building strategic partnerships with OEMs and suppliers to enhance Samsara's connected vehicle ecosystem, driving product development, market expansion, and customer-centric innovation through cross-functional collaboration and technical integration.
Responsibilities
- •Build and manage long-term relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and technology partners to support product development and market expansion.
- •Identify opportunities for partnerships to enhance product offerings, reduce time-to-market, and support business objectives.
- •Maintain a strategic OEM market map, analyzing key players, trends, investments, and opportunities, and provide insights to leadership.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Sales) to execute joint initiatives and develop integrated solutions.
- •Manage partner integration processes from exploration through launch, ensuring technical compatibility, negotiating terms, and coordinating roadmaps.
- •Leverage customer and market feedback to prioritize impactful solutions and features, acting as a voice of the customer in strategic decisions.
- •Continuously optimize OEM engagement models and operational practices to support scaling and growth.
Requirements
- •Build and manage long-term relationships with key HD, MD, LD, trailer and equipment OEMs, Tier1s, component suppliers, and technology partners to support and accelerate Samsara s product development and go-to-market efforts.
- •Partner with Product leaders to identify opportunities where partnerships can enhance product offerings, roadmaps, reduce time-to-market, and support business objectives.
- •Maintain a strategic OEM market map, identifying key players in the ecosystem, trends, investments, opportunities and partner pipeline, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for product and executive leadership.
- •Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, Operations and Sales to execute joint initiatives and bring integrated solutions to life.
- •Develop a technical understanding of Samsara s product systems and work with engineers and stakeholders to identify meaningful improvements leveraging partners.
- •Manage the end-to-end process of partner integration, from exploration through launch, ensuring technical compatibility, negotiating terms, and coordinating roadmaps and deliverables.
- •Leverage feedback from customers, partners, and market data to prioritize impactful solutions and features, acting as a voice of the customer in strategic decisions.
- •Continuously optimize Samsara s OEM engagement models and operational best practices to scale with company growth.
- •Champion, role model, and embed Samsara s cultural principles including Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, and Win as a Team as the company scales globally.
- •Possess at least 5 years of experience in Technology Alliances and Strategic Partnerships roles.
- •Have experience working in a B2B Enterprise SaaS business at scale with revenue of at least 1 billion USD.
- •Have technical acumen to grasp technical concepts and successfully engage with product engineering leadership.
- •Possess exceptional business development and sales acumen.
- •Have experience with connected vehicle telematics, safety technologies, protocols, or related connected vehicle or telematics technologies.
- •Have a deep appreciation for customer feedback and insights, and experience using those insights to shape strategy.
- •Have experience navigating and managing enterprise contracts between Samsara and external partners.
- •Have experience managing complex projects across internal and external teams.
