Job Description
The Staff Product Designer will be responsible for crafting and optimizing the core web experience of Samsara's platform, focusing on creating user-friendly and scalable UI patterns while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality design implementation.
Responsibilities
- •Design high-quality, scalable UI patterns and workflows for Samsara's web platform.
- •Own and refine interaction models to improve user navigation and discoverability.
- •Collaborate with engineers for high-quality design implementation and pixel-perfect execution.
- •Partner with product teams to create consistent, cross-product experiences aligned with the design system.
- •Contribute to and refine design system components, ensuring scalability and documentation.
- •Advocate for accessibility and usability best practices in web experiences.
- •Work with customers and stakeholders to validate design decisions and gather feedback.
Requirements
- •7 years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web-based UI UX design.
- •Expertise in interaction and visual design, including layout, hierarchy, typography, and motion.
- •Fluent in Figma, including components, prototypes, and advanced UI detailing.
- •Experience working closely with engineers, ensuring seamless design handoff and high-fidelity implementation.
- •Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
- •Proven ability to collaborate across teams, balancing different product needs while maintaining a cohesive web experience.
