Job Description
The role involves leading Samsara's new product introduction (NPI) planning process and managing supply chain fiscal strategy to achieve revenue and cost targets, while overseeing product lifecycle support and strategic initiatives to enhance operational processes.
Responsibilities
- •Drive NPI planning process and manage supply chain fiscal strategy.
- •Lead a team for product lifecycle support and new product introduction.
- •Communicate NPI program health and business trend changes to leadership.
- •Manage average selling price forecasts and deal cycle analytics.
- •Identify revenue improvement opportunities by geography and sales segmentation.
- •Liaise with finance team on long-term financial outlook and budget specifics.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights.
- •Scope and own high impact projects across teams.
- •Assist in developing the Planning strategic roadmap and reporting progress.
- •Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- •Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles.
- •Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in a relevant analytical field (e.g. finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, data science).
- •10 years experience in forecasting, demand planning, financial planning, or similar function, with at least 3 years directly managing teams.
- •Proven ability to attract and hire top talent, with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others, using a humble leadership approach to drive a high-performing team.
- •Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to quickly synthesize information in a digestible format for a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, across different media.
- •Excellent team player who values other views and can earn stakeholder confidence quickly, exerting influence to drive priorities and deliver results.
- •An inquisitive mindset to business challenges, looking to question assumptions and bring creativity to solve problems.
- •Familiarity with NPI launches and previous experience with Product and Engineering teams.
- •Overall understanding of levers that drive free cash flow and gross margin.
