Job Description
A Sales Engineering Manager responsible for leading and growing a dispersed sales engineering team in the EMEA region, demonstrating the value of Samsara's IoT and SaaS platform to large customers, and collaborating with sales and cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and lead a dispersed sales engineering team to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Collaborate with sales, product, support, and customer success teams on account planning, strategy, and sales activities.
- Participate in customer prospect calls as a trusted advisor to demonstrate and communicate the value of Samsara's platform.
- Handle escalations related to product issues and feature requests in a pre-sales environment.
- Partner with other Sales Engineering leaders to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term engagement.
Requirements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- At least 3 years of sales engineering management experience.
- Experience with Software Product sales, Infrastructure, SaaS.
- Knowledge in one or more of these areas of expertise: IoT, Networking Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
- Strong technical and business acumen.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner with a broad coalition of stakeholders, ranging from sales, product, marketing, support, customer success, and from individual contributors to executive team members across the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
- Business fluency in French or German.
- Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel up to 30-40% as needed.
