Job Description
The role involves leading a full-stack engineering team to develop and enhance customer-facing products using technologies like JavaScript, Python, and AWS, with a focus on driving growth, innovation, and delivering scalable IoT solutions for physical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver customer-driven solutions.
- Support the growth and development of individual engineers through mentoring and coaching.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop technical strategy.
- Set quarterly goals and prioritize product engineering initiatives.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop and enhance products.
- Drive roadmapping discussions and influence organizational initiatives.
- Perform code reviews and ensure quality of major features.
- Contribute hands-on to feature development.
- Ensure the reliability and quality of engineering components.
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing engineering team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of full-stack engineering experience, including at least 1 year of direct people management experience leading a full-stack product development team.
- Understanding of the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration.
- Experience developing individual contributors based on their needs and interests, as well as the needs of the company.
- Ability to be a technology business partner and recognize the value of relationships with team members in and out of Engineering.
- Experience building, delivering, and managing large-scale customer-facing products.
- Interest in understanding users and what would make their day-to-day processes easier to manage.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one layer of the technical stack, specifically JavaScript or Python.
- AWS knowledge and expertise.
- Experience working on Growth Engineering teams and/or solving business growth problems.
