Job Description
The role involves analyzing and optimizing Samsara's supply chain operations through cross-functional projects, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, with a focus on building resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable processes within a rotational leadership development program.
Responsibilities
- •Analyze tradeoffs of cost, quality, and responsiveness across the supply chain from procurement to delivery
- •Develop understanding of vendor base to anticipate industry trends and track competitive forces
- •Negotiate sourcing terms for hardware components, finished goods, freight, and warehousing services
- •Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Customer Success
- •Understand new product introduction (NPI) launches and operational implementation, including financial impacts
- •Drive projects focused on the Integrated Business Planning process and consolidate supply chain insights for leadership
- •Conduct analytics on process optimization, cost opportunities, risks, market intelligence, and international dynamics
- •Champion and embed company cultural principles such as Customer Success, Long-Term Building, Growth Mindset, Inclusivity, and Teamwork
Requirements
- •Candidates must be pursuing an MBA degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, Economics or equivalent, with expected graduation in 2025.
- •Candidates must have 4 years of prior experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
- •Demonstrated experience and interest in Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations either in previous work experience or coursework projects in their MBA or Master’s degree program.
- •Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience.
- •High proficiency with G-Suite products.
- •Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
- •Attention to detail while never losing sight of the big picture.
- •A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving while dealing with ambiguity, changing priorities, and business volatility.
- •Strong commitment to a career in operations or supply chain.
