Job Description
A Technical Program Manager responsible for leading the development and coordination of software, firmware, and systems controls for battery energy storage systems, ensuring reliable, scalable, and safe energy storage solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional development programs for embedded firmware, energy management system software, and battery management software.
- Drive the software development process, including planning sprints, backlog prioritization, standups, and reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers to define program requirements, technical interfaces, dependencies, and validation strategies.
- Track and communicate progress toward key milestones.
- Support test planning, software release processes, and integration with lab and field validation efforts.
- Ensure change management and version control processes are in place and aligned with system iteration.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) or Master's degree (MS) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of technical program management experience focused on software and firmware in hardware-integrated systems.
- Experience in managing software development processes including Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), code reviews, and release planning.
- Proven track record of managing software development for multidisciplinary products involving electrical, mechanical, and systems teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with all levels of the organization and presenting to internal and external executives.
- Proficiency in project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, MS Project, or Asana.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a startup environment.
- Willingness to wear proper PPE when necessary and work in environments including office, machine shop, outdoor test sites, and lab settings.
- Willingness to travel as needed for coordination or field deployment, approximately 10-20% of the time.

Compensation range: $153,000 - $207,000 USD
