Job Description
The Sr. Shutdown Maintenance Planner is responsible for leading planning activities for plant shutdowns, coordinating maintenance and construction efforts, and ensuring equipment uptime and operational readiness in a sustainable battery manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and manage planning activities for plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages.
- •Develop detailed job plans and preventive maintenance schedules for production lines.
- •Coordinate with maintenance, construction, and engineering teams to ensure conflict-free job plan packages.
- •Communicate shutdown schedules and progress to all affected parties using scheduling software.
- •Monitor and adjust shutdown schedules during events to prevent delays and resolve issues.
- •Manage outsourced labor and skills needs during shutdowns.
- •Conduct risk assessments before shutdown activities to identify safety concerns and schedule limitations.
- •Oversee post-shutdown assessments to evaluate successes and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- •Five (5) years of experience managing industrial projects, either in a maintenance or construction organization.
- •Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing maintenance planners, with a focus on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- •Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- •Experience with planning software such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, P6, etc.
- •Ability to read interrupt prints, drawings, and other technical publications.
- •Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- •Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems.
