Job Description

The Senior Electrical Construction Superintendent at Redwood Materials will oversee electrical and control construction scopes for projects focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications while managing schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all electrical and control construction scopes for a project.
  • Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work.
  • Review daily work schedule with direct reports and update weekly schedule based on project feedback.
  • Coordinate with work crews, field engineers, design engineers, and local utility companies to manage piping scopes safely.
  • Forecast work schedule to identify possible issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations.
  • Document daily activities and meeting notes using company-approved methods.
  • Present production work plan during initial project meetings to ensure alignment among project crews.
  • Coordinate with internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure project work is equipped appropriately.
  • Manage construction of low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage, and control scopes within a treatment process plant.
  • Ensure all mandated inspections are completed within requested timeframes.
  • Support and promote adherence to safety and process controls regarding electrical gear and worksite safety.
  • Supervise sub-contractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work.
  • Coordinate project close out activities in line with company standards and requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 years of industrial electrical construction experience required.
  • 3 years construction management experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals geometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site electrical gear, equipment, controls, and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.
