Job Description
The role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for large-scale customer deployments in cloud environments, working closely with customers, engineering teams, and pre-sales to ensure successful implementation and operation of data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and support large-scale customer deployments in public and private clouds
- Provide technical expertise during all phases of Portworx deployment for key customers
- Own and track customer issues using the ticket tracking system
- Answer and resolve support cases across all severity levels
- Collaborate with customers and partners to troubleshoot deployments, application workflows, and workloads
- Work with engineering team to analyze logs, reproduce issues, and develop solutions
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to ensure customer success
- Participate in pre-sales calls and assist with customer installation during POC and production
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and/or related technical experience.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing, technical support work.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, VMware container solutions.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and support large-scale customer deployments in public and private clouds.
- Experience in providing technical expertise during all phases of deployment for key customers.
- Ability to own and track customer issues using a ticket tracking system.
- Experience answering and resolving support cases across all severity levels.
- Ability to work with customers and partners to understand and troubleshoot deployments, application workflows, and workloads through multiple layers of the software stack.
- Experience working with logs, reproducing customer issues, and developing strategies to address customer issues in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Proactive and clear communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Experience participating in pre-sales calls and assisting with customer installation during POC and production phases.
- Ability to share and document knowledge via FAQ and KB articles, both internal and customer-facing.
- Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starter who is willing to work in an open office, team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work shifts and on-call rotations.
- Knowledge or experience of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or other related cloud platforms.
- Experience working with DevOps tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven ability to resolve customer problems and escalations utilizing appropriate internal and external resources.
- Ability to triage issues and escalate them to appropriate engineering groups as necessary.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment, and on shifts/on-call rotations.
