Job Description

The role involves leading engineering projects and hardware/software releases from conception to deployment, managing schedules, risks, and stakeholder communication, while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery in a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects and releases from conception through release
  • Manage hardware project schedules, including software deliverables
  • Identify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project milestones, schedules, and budgets
  • Communicate project strategy, issues, and dependencies to technical and non-technical teams
  • Develop and improve processes, tools, and workflows for project management
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers and vendors, to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Technical aptitude, as evidenced by BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related experience in technical quantitative fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in project management in hardware and software product releases.
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall Release Processes.
  • Customer service focus, with the ability to communicate effectively with highly technical management teams.
  • Ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors, demonstrating strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to develop and manage project milestones, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
  • Experience managing technical projects or programs from conception through release.
  • Experience in developing and exercising independent judgment and recommendations that translate into a course of action.
  • Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, including all organizational levels such as executives.
  • Ability to develop and drive new processes, recommend tools, or streamline existing processes.
  • Ability to understand and communicate project strategy, engineering issues, and dependencies.
  • Ability to manage risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies among a cross-functional team of engineers.
  • Willingness to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies.
