Job Description
The Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP ASC 606, supporting contract negotiations, performing monthly and quarterly revenue close tasks, and contributing to cross-functional projects within a fast-paced, innovative tech environment.
Responsibilities
- •Ensure revenue recognition in financial statements complies with US GAAP ASC 606
- •Collaborate with Deal Desk and Legal Teams to provide revenue recognition guidance during contract negotiations
- •Approve non-standard letters and sales orders with revenue-impacting terms
- •Review and assist with contract revenue write-up processes and related memos
- •Partner with external auditors to verify revenue accuracy in consolidated and statutory books
- •Perform monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close tasks, including reconciliations, SOX controls, and external reporting
- •Prepare quarterly revenue reporting slides for executive readouts
- •Monitor revenue transactions daily and review non-standard requests such as payment terms and return rights
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- •Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant revenue accounting experience
- •2 years of public company revenue recognition experience is highly desired
- •A strong working knowledge of Revenue Recognition Accounting in accordance with ASC 606
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills
- •Ability to analyze transactions from both an accounting and economic strength perspective
- •Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
- •Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment
- •Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple levels, functions, and locations
