Job Description
This role involves leading a team of sales engineers in the storage and systems solutions industry, providing technical leadership, developing sales strategies, and supporting customer needs in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on data storage architectures and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Sales Engineers in a fast-paced environment
- Partner with sales leadership to develop strategies for revenue growth and new business acquisition
- Support sales efforts by demonstrating technical expertise in storage products and architectures
- Translate customer business needs into innovative technical solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations and validate interoperability, performance, and functionality
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within current and future customer environments
- Stay informed on market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership
Requirements
- 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers
- 10 years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
- The desire to lead high performing Sales Engineers selling in Corporate Accounts
- A willingness to be both a coach and a player
- Facilitate product demonstrations
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP IP and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
