Job Description
The role involves leading sales and growth strategies for the Portworx platform within the Western US region, managing a high-performing sales team, building customer ecosystems, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive SaaS software solutions in the cloud native and Kubernetes ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year growth strategies for Portworx in the Western US region.
- Build and lead the sales organization, managing managers and shaping operational and cultural best practices.
- Drive customer acquisition, development, and engagement to create a successful customer ecosystem.
- Implement and optimize sales and management processes tailored for SaaS solutions.
- Align with internal stakeholders and lead cross-functional go-to-market plans.
- Differentiate Portworx technology through strategic positioning and competitive analysis.
- Manage and enhance regional product offerings and team competencies.
- Define and track demand generation metrics and oversee communication and marketing efforts.
- Participate in sales meetings, customer engagements, product seminars, and trade shows.
Requirements
- Experience managing a high growth business that focuses on developing the strong foundations for sustainable, repeatable growth from early stage through increasing levels of scale and maturity.
- Experience managing from first- through third-line leadership roles, including managing individual contributors, managers, and establishing operational best practices.
- Experience building territory strategies in support of multi-year growth.
- Demonstrated experience developing direct sales strategies and best practices.
- Working knowledge of the Cloud Native industry and Kubernetes ecosystem, open source, DevOps, and Application Modernization Developer Experience.
- High level consumer of SFDC (Salesforce), Clari, and a data-driven leadership approach.
- Excellent program management ability to document progress and communicate results.
- Experience in the use of analytics to measure and analyze impact.
- Ability to manage vendors and third-party partners on project work.
- Strong influential and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
