Job Description
The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to customers in Chicago, building strong relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding quotas through consultative and team-based sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate strategy and build relationships with assigned accounts
- Lead team-selling efforts with teammates and partners to close business
- Evangelize Pure Storage's data storage solutions and value proposition to customers
- Develop and execute account plans to engage internal resources and win new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas
- Prospect and open new customer opportunities through effective outreach
- Assess customer needs and position solutions to address business challenges
- Foster teamwork and shared ownership in complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders
- Drive customer satisfaction and post-sales success
Requirements
- 8 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
- Experience selling into customers in Chicago
- Ability to coordinate the overall strategy and relationship between assigned accounts and Pure Storage
- Experience leading team-selling efforts with teammates and strategic partners around the globe to close business on a quarterly and annual basis
- Proven prospecting skills with an avid hunter mentality, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating between the boardroom and the data center
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build and deepen relationships with customers over time
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
- Expertise in leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
- Track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
- Ability to evangelize and demonstrate the value of all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
- Genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
- Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset to apply customer insights and technology solutions effectively
- Ability to build and invest in customer relationships to establish value and drive customer satisfaction
- Physical and mental capacity to actively engage in a high-volume sales pipeline and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
