Job Description
The Vice President of Development at Prospect14 leads the development of renewable energy projects, managing a team and overseeing all phases from origination to construction, while building stakeholder relationships and ensuring project success in the solar energy sector.
Responsibilities
- •Lead the development of solar projects from Origination handoff, managing internal and external resources
- •Manage a team of nine developers and interconnection engineers
- •Coordinate development and sale strategies for projects with the broader team
- •Collaborate with Finance and Policy teams to identify new markets and origination opportunities
- •Forecast project data, schedules, and budgets
- •Facilitate real estate negotiations and maintain landowner relationships
- •Conduct site assessments to identify and address project risks
- •Obtain necessary permits at local, state, and federal levels
- •Represent Prospect14 in stakeholder engagements with customers, landowners, and officials
- •Lead and collaborate on administrative processes, metrics, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related discipline
- •Minimum of nine years of experience developing and permitting renewable energy projects
- •Demonstrated ability to deliver on community solar and distributed generation energy development projects
- •Experience building business tools and IT systems to continuously improve the output of the organization
- •Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- •Ability to take initiative and work well within a team
- •Priority management skills
- •Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- •Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate a dynamic environment
- •Willingness to travel as needed to assure project completion on time and within budget
