Job Description
The Solutions Architect will support the implementation and integration of software and data products for federal customers, focusing on developing APIs, analyzing data, and ensuring the delivery of geospatial and intelligence solutions within Planet’s satellite data platform.
Responsibilities
- •Implement, integrate, and analyze new software and data products to extend the Planet Platform for federal customers
- •Develop and maintain APIs to serve enterprise and federal clients
- •Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions
- •Create and analyze usage metrics to drive customer growth
- •Leverage analytical skills to deliver products supporting mission requirements
- •Support production services through participation in on-call rotation
Requirements
- •A degree in computer science, software systems engineering, or a related field.
- •Six years of relevant work experience, of which five years must be supporting NATO and/or DoD Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
- •Specialized, relevant technical experience in systems integration and intelligence analysis.
- •Fluency in Golang, Python, PostgreSQL, React, or related technologies.
- •Experience with cloud deployments on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- •Experience designing and evolving public-facing APIs.
- •Experience solving complex problems through analytical skills.
- •Experience scaling and maintaining production systems.
- •Current NATO Secret Clearance.
- •Systems integrations experience working with multi-domain, multi-level security architectures with the US Government, particularly in NATO.
- •Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, SQL, and distributed databases.
- •Experience with NoSQL databases.
- •Ability to support the implementation, integration, and analysis of new software and data products that extend the Planet Platform.
- •Ability to develop scripts and analyze data products for delivery to end users.
- •Ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- •Experience supporting mission requirements for federal customers.
- •Ability to participate in team on-call rotation to support production services.
- •Experience with geospatial technologies and data, including GEOINT, imagery exploitation, and analysis.
