Job Description

A Customer Success Manager focused on state and local government agencies, responsible for building relationships, driving product adoption, and providing geospatial solutions using Planet's satellite imagery to support critical public sector initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with state and local government customers to help them achieve strategic goals using Planet's technology.
  • Drive product adoption through onboarding, training, and guidance on best practices.
  • Identify expansion and renewal opportunities and collaborate with Sales to secure long-term customer value.
  • Advocate for customer needs internally by providing feedback to influence product development and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing to develop use cases, success stories, and engagement strategies.
  • Provide proactive support and account planning for renewals, budget cycles, and legislative timelines.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or related roles ideally working with state or local government agencies.
  • Understanding of public sector workflows, procurement processes, and funding cycles.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of audiences from analysts to government executives.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Support, and Engineering teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $83,040 - $120,320 USD depending on location and experience
Work schedule: Full-time, remote with some travel as needed
