Job Description

The role involves managing and expanding relationships with Japanese military and government agencies, ensuring they effectively utilize Planet's satellite imagery and geospatial data to achieve their mission objectives, while providing customer support, training, and advocating for product improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand relationships with Japanese military and government agencies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact during the customer contract lifecycle, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in maximizing the value of Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions and integrating data into workflows.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate on renewals and upsells.
  • Facilitate customer training, onboarding, and best practices for using Planet data in GIS and remote sensing workflows.
  • Advocate for customer feedback to inform product enhancements and feature development.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to support customer needs and develop case studies and events.
  • Share insights on key accounts and contribute to strategic planning for customer success.

Requirements

  • Ability to successfully manage customer relationships.
  • Four (4) years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related field.
  • Good working knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and Earth observation technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese.
  • Proficiency in English, the language of the company.
  • Experience working with Japanese government agencies, as well as enterprise customers.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements.
  • Willingness to travel.
