Job Description

The Energy Advisor is responsible for managing direct-to-consumer sales leads related to solar energy products, providing excellent customer service, guiding customers through the sales process, and supporting internal teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience in the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound sales and customer inquiries to ensure timely responses
  • Guide customers through the sales process from lead to project completion
  • Review and manage sales pipeline and support tickets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience and internal processes
  • Engage with customers to upsell products and promote referral programs
  • Coordinate with sales, project, and technology teams on product launches and workflow improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer support or sales role.
  • Experience in the Energy industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with G Suite and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage inbound sales and customer inquiries following predetermined processes to ensure rapid response.
  • Experience managing support tickets and inbound requests ranging from product questions to project inquiries.
  • Ability to review pipeline and own all projects through to design completion.
  • Capability to provide resources and guidance to team members for best practices and policy guidelines.
  • Ability to keep support queues meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Experience assisting in the evaluation and improvement of internal processes and building systems to meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with Project Coordinators, sales teams, and operational groups.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and compliance with company standards of excellence.
  • Proactive approach to working with customers to improve Net Promoter Score.
  • Experience engaging with customers to upsell products and promote referral programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Enjoys a sales and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to identify friction points in workflows and work with internal teams to resolve and refine these issues.
  • Work with technology and customer account management teams to implement customer self-service workflows.
  • Ability to meet or exceed defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
