Job Description
The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining a global analytics platform that consolidates data tooling, enables scalable data pipelines, and provides reliable insights through dashboards and notebooks to optimize customer journeys across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- •Consolidate analytics tooling and develop a strategy for consistent data modeling across global businesses
- •Build and maintain a platform that enables data integration from various countries
- •Create efficient data pipelines from source data to insights
- •Scale out Business Intelligence modeling to multiple energy businesses worldwide
- •Develop and deliver insights through notebooks and dashboards
- •Ensure ease of data discovery and access for consumers
- •Build and maintain trust in metrics and dashboards
- •Enable self-service data access and automation for consumers
Requirements
- •Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines from source data to insights, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- •Ability to scale out Business Intelligence (BI) modeling to support multiple Octopus Energy businesses around the world.
- •Proficiency in providing insights through notebooks for detailed storytelling and dashboards for live updates on a domain.
- •Strong understanding of data modeling and data consistency across multiple global businesses.
- •Experience with building and managing analytics platforms that enable users to find data easily, trust metrics and dashboards, self-serve data, and retrieve data via automation.
- •Ability to work within a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to adapt to individual needs.
- •Excellent communication skills to interact with recruitment teams and stakeholders throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
