Job Description
Develop and integrate embedded software for autonomous vehicles, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance, while collaborating with hardware and system engineers to ensure successful vehicle deployment.
Responsibilities
- •Develop embedded software for L2 to L4 autonomous vehicle applications, focusing on base software, middle layer, and application algorithms.
- •Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers during product development to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Nuro Driver.
- •Participate in vehicle bringup, prototyping, testing, and debugging on multiple vehicle platforms.
- •Integrate the Nuro Driver software into vehicle platforms in coordination with autonomy software teams and vehicle OEM suppliers.
Requirements
- •Develop Embedded Software for L2 to L4 autonomous vehicle applications with focus on base software, middle layer, and some application algorithm development such as actuator interface and body controls.
- •Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and system engineers during the definition, design, and verification phases of product development to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Nuro Driver.
- •Participate in hands-on vehicle bringup, prototyping, development, testing, and debugging on multiple vehicle platforms.
- •Work closely with other Nuro autonomy software teams and vehicle OEMs suppliers to integrate the Nuro Driver into vehicle platforms.
- •Possess strong C programming skills.
- •Have good computer science fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, and algorithm design.
- •Have a good understanding of operating system internals, such as kernel or driver knowledge.
- •Demonstrate good problem solving and debugging skills.
- •Possess good communication and collaboration skills.
- •Hold a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- •Have at least 3 years of experience with real-time OS and real-time applications.
- •Be proficient with CAN, SPI, and/or Networking protocols.
