Job Description

The Project Manager at Nexamp will oversee the development and execution of renewable energy projects, managing civil, electrical, and structural aspects, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering projects on time and within budget to support the company's mission of building a clean energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce safety policies and procedures on construction sites
  • Conduct field walks, assist in value engineering, and support project design and permitting
  • Develop, bid out, and manage scopes of work for subcontractors, ensuring compliance with wage and apprenticeship requirements
  • Create and execute project schedules, manage milestones, and oversee project deliverables
  • Develop and manage project budgets, seeking cost efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with site supervisors to develop risk assessments, safety plans, and conduct safety briefings
  • Manage project closeout activities including system interconnection, commissioning, and handover to asset management

Requirements

  • Extensive civil, electrical, and structural experience in construction management.
  • Experience identifying, vetting, and managing subcontractors in the construction environment.
  • At least 3 years of construction management experience.
  • Experience managing tight budgets and schedules with a track record of success.
  • Experience in subcontractor bidding.
  • Working knowledge of civil construction, electrical construction, and utility construction.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards, with OSHA 10 as a minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to develop, bid out, and ensure adherence to scopes of work for project subcontractors, including Federal, State prevailing wage, and Apprenticeship requirements where applicable.
  • Ability to develop and coordinate project schedules and execute according to plan for assigned projects.
  • Experience managing milestone dates and all project deliverables, including Federal IRA compliance, Tax Equity, and Project Financing.
  • Experience developing and managing the project construction budget.
  • Diligence and dedication to gaining efficiency and finding cost savings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience working with site supervisors to develop risk assessments and HASPs, identify and implement best practices, and give jobsite safety briefings and tailboard talks throughout the project.
  • Experience managing the closeout of projects, including system interconnection, commissioning, as-built updates, and handover to asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
  • Experience showcasing initiative to improve current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
