Job Description

The Grid Integration Program Manager oversees and coordinates solar PV grid integration projects from planning to operation, ensuring timely execution, resource management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation to support the company's clean energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee PV solar grid integration projects from UIA pre-NTP to Permission to Operate (PTO).
  • Track project progress, manage interdependencies, and ensure timely completion of all project milestones.
  • Develop and manage the program roadmap, aligning multiple project timelines and critical milestones.
  • Manage program-level costs and ensure projects stay within budget, securing additional contingency funding as needed.
  • Monitor key project components such as utility interconnection, permits, equipment testing, and project closeout.
  • Lead risk management efforts at the program level, addressing inter-project risks and escalating issues to leadership.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards and safety requirements across all projects.
  • Provide strategic oversight and reporting to senior leadership on program performance and KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 3-8 years of developer, construction management, engineering, utility or solar industry experience with a successful track record in project program management.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications plans.
  • Working knowledge of various areas of construction including civil construction, electrical construction, utility construction.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards, with OSHA 10 as a minimum requirement.
  • Understanding of quality control methods and procedures.
  • Strong administrative skills including the use of computers, Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Procore, data acquisition systems, SCADA, communications and remote computing.
  • Experience in commissioning PV systems and BESS storage is a plus.
  • Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus.
  • Valid and current Driver’s License.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to develop and manage project and program roadmaps, coordinate multiple project timelines and critical milestones, and track program-level costs and budgets.
  • Experience in risk management at the program level, addressing inter-project risks and escalating issues to senior leadership as needed.
  • Ability to monitor regulatory compliance and ensure all projects meet industry standards including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 142, UL 1741, UL 2703, IEEE 1547, and OSHA 10 safety requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
