Job Description
The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to departmental leaders, providing HR support, advising on employee relations and development, and driving organizational change to foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- •Serve as the primary HR contact for designated departments, assessing needs and providing tailored support.
- •Advise and coach managers on performance management, employee development, career progression, and disciplinary actions.
- •Lead and resolve complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- •Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, propose interventions, and track outcomes.
- •Guide organizational change initiatives, including restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- •Facilitate onboarding, hiring, promotions, and internal transfers, including developing employment terms.
- •Collaborate on contract management for new and international employees, including expatriate assignments.
- •Champion employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives to improve morale, retention, and workplace culture.
- •Identify training needs and evaluate learning effectiveness, coordinating follow-up activities.
- •Provide policy interpretation and application aligned with internal standards and legal obligations.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree or CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
- •Minimum of 5 years HR experience with demonstrated success in a business partner or generalist role.
- •Strong knowledge of UK employment law, case handling, and HR best practices.
- •Experience with HR systems, specifically HRIS and ATS; working knowledge of HiBob HRIS and Lever ATS is preferred.
- •Skilled in using HR analytics to inform decisions and track the impact of initiatives.
- •Proven ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels with sound judgement.
- •Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
- •Ability to perform all levels of activity from administration to strategy planning.
- •Experience leading and resolving complex employee relations cases, including thorough investigations and documentation, while ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- •Ability to advise and coach managers on performance management, employee development, career progression, and disciplinary actions.
- •Experience facilitating onboarding, hiring, promotions, and internal transfers, including development of employment terms.
- •Experience collaborating on contract management for new and international employees, including expatriate assignments.
- •Ability to analyze HR data and metrics in collaboration with colleagues to identify trends, propose interventions, and track outcomes.
- •Experience guiding organizational change initiatives, including restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- •Ability to champion employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives to improve morale, retention, and workplace culture.
- •Capability to identify training needs for departments and individuals, evaluate learning effectiveness, and coordinate follow-up activities.
- •Ability to maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day people management and partner with legal as needed to mitigate risk.
