Job Description
A Senior Analyst in Retail Operations at Gridmatic Inc. is responsible for managing key operational functions such as billing, customer enrollment, regulatory compliance, broker commissions, and customer support, while leveraging data analytics to drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic improvements in serving commercial electricity customers in ERCOT and PJM markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and accurate generation of customer invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure accurate and on-schedule enrollment of commercial customers and troubleshoot enrollment issues
- Monitor and interpret regulations across ERCOT, PJM, and other U.S. power markets to ensure compliance
- Track, report, and optimize broker commissions and address broker inquiries
- Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate between operations, billing, and support teams
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and support decision-making through dashboards and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools, systems, workflows, and support strategic projects
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Experience developing dashboards and predictive models using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Ability to support business decisions with clear, concise reports and visualizations.
- Experience in overseeing the timely and accurate generation of customer invoices and monitoring billing exceptions and discrepancies.
- Experience ensuring all commercial customers are enrolled accurately and on schedule, managing enrollment exceptions, and troubleshooting issues.
- Experience monitoring and interpreting regulations across ERCOT, PJM, and other U.S. power markets, and ensuring compliance with market rules and commission guidelines including FERC, PUC, State, and utilities.
- Experience preparing data and assisting with regulatory filings, audits, and reports.
- Experience partnering with legal, compliance, and operations teams to assess and manage regulatory risk.
- Experience tracking and reporting on commission structures, performance, and exceptions, and developing tools and reporting processes to automate and optimize commission workflows.
- Experience responding to customer inquiries and issues with clarity, professionalism, and urgency, ensuring seamless coordination between operations, billing, and support teams.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve tools, systems, and workflows, and contributing to special projects including workflow scaling and new service rollouts.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills to address broker inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Educational background or experience demonstrating proficiency in data analysis, operations, or related fields (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied through skills).
