Job Description
A Senior Product Security Engineer responsible for designing and implementing security measures for GoodLeap's products and applications, working closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure safety, resilience, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and resilience of products and services by designing and building product security services and processes.
- Identify potential misuse and abuse cases, propose features to address these scenarios, and define product features to meet resilience requirements.
- Manage application security controls and activities during development (build-time controls).
- Oversee security measures for deployed products (runtime controls).
- Represent security aspects across governance, risk, compliance, and security monitoring for the business unit.
- Foster strong relationships with product, business, and engineering teams to integrate security practices.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and building product security services and processes, including creating product and application security patterns and practices.
- Ability to identify potential misuse and abuse cases, propose features to address these scenarios, and define product features to meet resilience requirements.
- Experience managing application security controls and activities during development (build-time controls).
- Experience overseeing security measures for deployed products (runtime controls).
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) related to security monitoring.
- Ability to involve other security team members as needed to address security issues.
- Experience working closely with product, engineering, and business teams within a business unit to ensure the safety and resilience of products and services.
- Ability to represent all areas of security for a business unit, including product safety, resilience, and regulatory trust.
- Experience in managing or contributing to technology governance and compliance efforts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with product, business, and engineering teams to foster security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to act as a key individual with both the authority and responsibility for product security within a business unit.
