Job Description
A customer-focused role involving building relationships and providing GIS solutions to local government organizations, with responsibilities including account management, strategic planning, and industry expertise to drive adoption and growth of Esri technology.
Responsibilities
- •Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
- •Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
- •Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate GIS solutions
- •Understand customer needs, key stakeholders, and decision-making processes
- •Articulate the value of Esri technology and its relevance to local government
- •Manage account strategies collaboratively across teams and partners
- •Execute sales and account management processes to meet revenue goals
- •Research industry trends and pursue professional development to maintain competitive knowledge
Requirements
- •Minimum of 5 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- •Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
- •Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
- •Advanced knowledge of the local government industry and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
- •Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another.
- •Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
- •Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
- •Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- •Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- •Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
