Job Description

This role involves supporting local government clients by leveraging geospatial technology to develop strategic solutions, build relationships, and drive adoption of Esri's GIS products, with a focus on account management, consulting, and industry expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate GIS solutions
  • Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and decision-making processes
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology and its relevance to local government
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies

Requirements

  • Five years of successfully supporting customers in a sales, consulting, or relevant industry role.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
