Job Description
This role involves supporting local government clients by leveraging geospatial technology to develop strategic solutions, build relationships, and drive adoption of Esri's GIS products, with a focus on account management, consulting, and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
- Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
- Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate GIS solutions
- Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and decision-making processes
- Articulate the value of Esri technology and its relevance to local government
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies
Requirements
- Five years of successfully supporting customers in a sales, consulting, or relevant industry role.
- Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
- Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
- Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another.
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
