Job Description
The role involves managing and supporting industrial security operations to protect sensitive government and company information, ensuring compliance with federal security standards, and supporting personnel security and facility security programs within a government contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer daily security operations of the Industrial Security program ensuring compliance with government regulations
- Support collateral level DoD programs and special access programs for government agencies
- Collaborate with management to make security decisions to prevent unauthorized access to facilities and information
- Conduct security self-inspections, perform risk mitigation, support government assessments, and implement security measures
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies and procedures in accordance with regulations
- Maintain facility clearance status and coordinate with DCSA on required documentation
- Manage physical security of multiple facilities in compliance with DCSA and ICD 705 requirements
- Assist with personnel security by administering security clearances and access processes for employees and contractors
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of professional experience supporting similar responsibilities in a security-related position, including supporting special access and industrial security operations for the US Department of Defense (DoD) or US Intelligence Community.
- Professional experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Certified Security Officer (CSSO) or Certified Professional Security Officer (CPSO).
- Thorough working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), associated Executive Orders, and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs).
- Significant experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation System (NBIS), NISS, SWFT, eQIP, and eAPP.
- Knowledge of OPSEC procedures and application of OPSEC to Sensitive Government information such as FOUO and CUI.
- US citizenship and the ability and willingness to maintain a US Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
