Job Description
A maintenance technician responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building plumbing systems and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting facility operations.
Responsibilities
- •Inspect, maintain, and repair building plumbing systems and infrastructure
- •Oversee campus plumbing operations and ensure compliance with regulations
- •Repair or replace plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and shower valves
- •Clear and maintain storm drains, roof drains, and sewer lines
- •Monitor and maintain sump pumps and campus fountains
- •Perform emergency repairs for rain leaks and roof leaks
- •Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems
- •Perform general facilities maintenance including pest control and service requests
Requirements
- •Six years of experience in all aspects of new plumbing installation and repair
- •Knowledge of and experience with plumbing tools such as electric snakes, pipe threaders, torches, spanner wrenches, and other basic tools of the trade
- •Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area at all work locations including field locations, facilities shop, and break room
- •Ability to work in a variety of physical environments including on ladders, man-lifts, and more
- •Demonstrated ability to adhere to safe working practices as defined by industry and regulatory standards
- •Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the campus community and business contacts
- •Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- •High school diploma or equivalent
