Job Description
The position involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building infrastructure, mechanical, and electrical systems to support facilities operations, ensuring safety and compliance across various building systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- •Complete work orders for building maintenance and repairs using work order software
- •Maintain life safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, pumps, exit signs, and emergency lighting
- •Support emergency power backup systems for data centers, including UPSs, ATSs, and generators
- •Address interior and exterior electrical issues
- •Oversee roof maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and solar panel management
- •Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance plan and related records
Requirements
- •One year of related work experience and technical training in building infrastructure, mechanical equipment, or electrical equipment maintenance and repair.
- •Basic construction and remodeling experience.
- •Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, and civil plans.
- •Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- •Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the campus community and business contacts.
- •Basic office environment computer skills.
- •High school graduate or GED required.
