Job Description
The Vice President, Procurement at Enviva is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's procurement functions, including developing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient and compliant procurement processes to support sustainable energy production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategy to drive cost efficiencies, risk mitigation, and value creation
- Establish and maintain a controlled and compliant Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process supporting operational excellence
- Design and optimize procurement policies, procedures, and systems for standardization, automation, and scalability
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations to ensure cohesive procurement execution
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors
- Negotiate contracts and strategic agreements to meet pricing, quality, and service goals
- Monitor and report on procurement metrics such as spend analysis, savings, and supplier performance
- Oversee vendor risk management and develop sourcing strategies for business continuity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement leadership roles, with a strong track record of designing and managing controlled Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization and with external partners
- Strong understanding of procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle) and process automation tools
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
